Buddy The Elf – What’s Your Favourite Colour?

I have been feeling awful this week. I’ve had a nasty cold that I just couldn’t shake and it was turning me into a right grump – not what you want at this time of year! Thankfully Tesco and Hallmark came to the rescue. The sent us an Elf themed goodie box to get us in the festive spirit!

Elf is by far my favourite Christmas movie so I was pretty excited to introduce it to my nephews for the first time. I knew the silliness of it would appeal to the boys, and I couldn’t wait to see what they had in store for us.

As expected – the box did not disappoint! Full of the perfect items to give us a fun filled afternoon. The Elf movie was of course the first thing we pulled out, and I sat them down to watch it while I had a look at what else we had to play with.

There was a mini etch-a-sketch, for writing down our plan – just like in the movie! Some fake snow for having a snow ball fight, spaghetti and maple syrup for recreating the spaghetti scene and lots of candy canes. A Now That’s What I Call Christmas cd was also on hand to get us dancing around the kitchen. Thankfully for there a Buddy the Elf mug too for this pregnant mama to have a cuppa while the kids ran wild!

We ditched Piglet into bed to take a nap so that the three of us could have some fun without having to keep an eye on him – sometimes it’s nice to just play with the big boys! We got the fake snow out and put it in a tray to play with. I drew the line at throwing it around to have a snow ball fight, but it was fun all the same.

The boys couldn’t believe their luck when I said they could add maple syrup and sweeties to their pasta. What are aunties for if not to hype you up on sugar before you go home?

Tesco have an amazing competition running at the moment to win a £2000 gift card to use towards the holiday of your dreams. It can be anything you want, which makes it perfect for absolutely everyone. To enter all you have to do is pop to one of the participating Tesco Extra stores across the UK, pick up an Elf card from the fab range and an entry form. You can read more about it here. You’d be a cotton headed ninny-muggins not to enter!

We were sent an Elf hamper containing all the goodies above in exchange for this post. All words and opinions are my own.
