When I was pregnant I knew I wanted to prepare some meals for when Piglet was born. I was anticipating late nights, times when he wouldn’t want to be put down and it would be hard to cook. When I haven’t had much sleep I don’t always want a take away, I knew I would
What a start to the month! JHogg took a trip to A&E for a dodgy shoulder. It turns out he has an impingement (rather than the dislocation we first suspected) and had to take some time off work. I took on the childcare and house work alone which was pretty tough! But we coped. Piglet
When I was pregnant I was really keen on the idea of newborn photography. I loved the gorgeous posed pictures, I knew it was something I’d love to have. The issue we had though was the cost. We had bought a new house and every penny we have was ear marked for kitchens or bathrooms.
6 months old – Piglet is definitely not a new born anymore! 6 months sounds really old to me, he’s not a “new baby” now. He’s not hit any major milestones this month, he hasn’t rolled over at all in the last month and the idea of him being ready to sit up is laughable.
We have always had the luxury of being a 2 car family. I know you don’t NEED a car to get around, but with Piglet in tow my life has always been made a lot easier by being able to just jump in the car. Not long ago my car started to play up. It
On Saturday JHogg and I dropped the dog and Piglet off at Grannys and headed to our local beer festival. We had been to it last year, but I was around 7 or 8 weeks pregnant and had morning sickness and generally miserable! We had high hopes for this year and it didn’t disappoint! They
Two weeks ago crisis hit. We’re a man down and I’ve been going it solo parenting Piglet. JHogg is here in spirit, but he’s been about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. He had an emergency trip to a&e for a suspected dislocated shoulder, a follow up for an X-ray (which resulted in one
Our recent stay at the Maryculter House Hotel for our anniversary had us reminiscing about our wedding. We got out our wedding album and looked through some of the pictures of the day, and I thought I would share some of them with you. These photos were all taken by our wonderful photographer, Kelly from
July – what a month it’s been! We started the month off by submitting our building warrant application for the change to the downstairs layout of the house. Unfortunately it got returned with some queries but we’re hoping we’ll have our approval through soon! We booked a trip for the end of September with the
Maryculter House Hotel is where JHogg and I got married in March last year. It is also where we had one of our first dates! Situated right on the River Dee, the hotel overlooks JHoggs golf course. It is a small hotel with only 22 rooms, and is extremely old. The rooms are all different shapes
