In November 2015 we bought our house. It needed a lot of work and we started right away, but even then couldn’t move in until January of 2016. JHogg has been working hard ever since. He has decorated two of the bedrooms, sanded and painted doors, changed sockets, tiled a bathroom and built a bespoke gate. DIY has been the focus of his evenings and weekends for well over a year now.
Last week we hired a builder to make some major changes to the living areas of the house. We have got permission to take down a load bearing wall and remove a bathroom to create the kitchen/living/dining space of our dreams. The work should be finished within a fortnight, but then we’re left to decorate.
JHogg has had enough and refuses to wallpaper any more rooms for the foreseeable. And thats when I was relieved to discover the Bidvine website.
Bidvine is a way of finding and hiring professionals in your area. You simply select the service you require from a list, in my case it is a decorator, and type in your postcode. The site prompts you answer a few extra questions about the job, for me it was relating to a rough size of the room.
Once you’ve filled in the details you simply sit back and wait! The beauty of Bidvine is that the professionals come to you. You receive an e-mail from those wishing to take on the job, providing a quote and links to their websites. It totally removed the stress out of gathering quotes and choosing who to hire!
Bidvine had a huge range of services that they cover. Anything from cleaners to photographers, plumbers to piano teachers. They are likely to have someone for the job.
I wouldn’t hesitate to use Bidvine again. Time is tight with a baby in the house, and spending time together as a family is far more valuable to us than trawling around for quotes.
Have you ever used Bidvine? I’d love to hear what you thought.
