I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love fudge. It doesn’t matter what the occasion – or no occasion at all – a couple pieces go down nicely! I have the best recipe, it has never failed me yet and everyone always raves about it. I usually nod and smile and say it’s nothing, and it’s assumed that I’m being modest. But I’m not – it really is nothing!
For years I wondered how to make fudge, and stupidly assumed it would be a long drawn out process with thermometers and all sorts, but I was so wrong. This white chocolate fudge uses just three ingredients and is so easy to make. Seriously – no skill required what so ever. It’s the perfect fudge to make with kids, and with the mini eggs makes for a fun Easter treat.
My children aren’t know for their good attention spans, and so knowing we can knock this fudge recipe in under 30 minutes (and that’s including prep time) means it’s a great indoor activity for kids.
Right now in particular, while things are a bit tense, treats and comforts like this are what is keeping us sane. I am glad that I can keep at least some of our families Easter traditions in tact.
If white chocolate isn’t your cup of tea then there are a few ways you can adapt this recipe to make it suit your own tastes.
The first, and most obvious way, is to replace the white chocolate with a milk chocolate. But for me personally – I love a milk and dark chocolate mix. It makes a rich a indulgent fudge which I adore.
You can also change the mini eggs if you don’t want to make this around Easter time, smarties or magic stars work well too. Or just leave them out all together. It gives a smooth, sweet fudge without the crunch of a sweet on top.
