Somewhere Free: Windmill Hill City Farm

Windmill Hill City Farm is a wonderful place to visit especially if you have young children. We regularly visit the farm. There is a farmyard animals to visit, organic gardens, play areas and cafe on site. My kids particularly like the woodland area. There is even a giant Stick Man. It is open 7 days a week and free to visit.

Somewhere For The Whole Day: Harbourside

Bristol Harbour was historically a busy dock full of sailors and merchants. Today it is a brilliant place to take a stroll and do some exploring. There is plenty to see and do including visiting Brunel’s SS Great Britain, M Shed the Museum of Bristol, The Arnolfini Arts Centre, Underfall Yard and Millennium Square.

Somewhere Outdoors: Wild Place Project

A fantastic day out with giraffes, wolves, cheetahs and now bears at the Wild Place Project. Some lovely play areas for the kids and a brilliant barefoot trail. The Lemur walkthrough is a real highlight. For any daredevils there is also the outdoor climbing activity Leap of Faith.
