Father’s Day Gift Ideas

AD | PR Samples

Father’s Day is almost here and I think I can say we are ready! The children will be doing their usual crafts for JHogg, a little something personal from them, but he also deserves a treat. This year we have been sent some goodies to really spoil him on Father’s Day, so I’m going to share them with you so you can have some fresh gift ideas!

Gifts For Outdoorsy Dads

Waboba Backnine

When shopping for Father’s Day it is often a good idea to get something they can enjoy with the kids (and that way you might bag yourself 5 minutes peace too). The Waboba Backnine game is a great choice. It is a bit like frisbee golf, you throw the target ring and then try to get your own discs to land on it. It packs neatly into a travel bag and is lightweight, perfect for taking to the park or the beach.

Badminton Set

The last few years have really taught us the value of enjoying our own back garden, and a badminton set is one way to do that. Complete with a net and posts, you can put it up and take it down whenever you want. Dad is sure to love having his own set.

Skateboard

Now I realise this might sound a little insane, and probably a bit like a recipe for a broken wrist, but hear me out! As the kids are getting older and trying out new things a little bit of nostalgia often hits. Give him his own skateboard to relive a bit of his youth. And when he realises he’s no longer able to do what he could at 14 you can wall mount it as a cool bit of art.

Insulated Lunch Bag

Days out are much easier with an insulated lunch bag. He can sling it over his shoulder and head out knowing that his drink and lunch are keeping cool (or warm!) until he needs them. It has a 6L capacity and the option of 2 compartments of 1 large one depending on what he needs.

DIY Father’s Day Gifts

Personalised Mallet

I don’t know anyone who doesn’t like a personalised gift, so why not make it a practical one? This mallet is perfect for my dad, the resident DIY expert and our go-to for anytime we’re stuck on how to get a job done.

Home Hacks Kit

If he’s not already a DIY guru then help him get started with a Home Hacks Kit. The kit comes with a booklet containing 14 things you can do in your home, and 4 sachets of Sugru mouldable glue in a handy tin to kick things off. You’re have a DIY master on your hands in no time.

Gifts For The Fashion Conscious Dad

Levi Shirt

If fashion is more his style, then there are loads of options to choose from. I have selected a Levi shirt for JHogg this year. While it might seem a bit of an out there choice for some, I know it’ll be exactly what he likes.

Beard Trimmer

Everyone seems to have a beard these days, and men seem to take great delight in grooming them. The Gillette Style Master beard trimmer has a 4D blade with 3 comb attachments so they can get the perfect style. It shaves going in both directions and can turn scruffy into smart very quickly.

Father’s Day Gifts For The Home

R2D2 Travel Mug

We are really trying to do our bit for the environment, and JHogg loves a coffee. This R2D2 travel mug is a perfect gift from JJ, our Star Wars Day baby. It’s fairly inexpensive but the fun design will surely be one they love.

Plant Kindness – Happy

While we may love being outside, it doesn’t mean we’re particularly green fingered. This artificial Plant Kindness succulent comes in a washable bag with a stitched message. It is a thoughtful gift for Dad to let him know he makes you happy and that you want hime to be happy.

Tic-Tac-Toe

Sometimes the best gifts are the things they would never think of themselves. This tabletop tic-tac-toe set is a cute addition to any coffee table and leaves you ready to have a game at any time. It has a wooden board with wooden X and O’s, and even comes with a cotton drawstring bag so you can take it with you as a travel game.

Gringotts Vault Money Bank

If you’ve got a Harry Potter fan in the house then the Gringotts vault money bank is a fun gift idea. Each one is hand painted, giving slight variations for a truly unique gift, and with a twist plug on the base he can access his coin stash again and again.

Mummy Daddy Me Mugs

For a family of tea drinkers a Mummy Daddy Me mug gift set is a cute gift. With an adorable Peter Rabbit pattern and individually labelled, each mug is made from bone china. A smaller size for the youngest member of the family means everyone can enjoy a drink together in matching mugs.

Edible Father’s Day Treats

BBQ Rubs

There’s not much that beats a good BBQ, and in our house that means getting the wood pellets out and cooking some big meat in the smoker. Traeger Grills have some amazing rubs and sauces that will take your BBQ to the next level. Flavourings to accompany every type of meat, and your veggies too, to make him feel like the BBQ King.

Dad’s Black Pig

If you want to give Dad a gift that he can enjoy in peace then the Dad’s Black Pig Limited Edition Gift Tube fits the bill. It consists of a bottle of Black Pig McLaren Vale Shiraz presented in a Black Pig gift tube, with tasting notes. You can add a free gift message for Dad too.

Sweet Treats

Of course, it wouldn’t be father’s day without a sweet treat or two. HARIBO Jelly Babies & Wine Gums gift box combines 2 of the HARIBO favourites for a treat you’ll all want to share.
