Gift Ideas For Gin Lovers

AD | PR Samples

Gin seems to have taken the UK by storm! I never used to be a gin lover, but around 6 years ago JHogg introduced me to Sloe Gin and it took off from there. I enjoy a gin and tonic so much that when I was pregnant by drink of choice was just a slim line tonic with fresh lime. Yes I missed having the gin in it but it was a pretty good substitute!

With more and more people discovering a love for gin it just makes sense to have a a guide for the perfect gin gifts for the gin lovers in your life. So here are some of my favourite gin themed gifts!

Bottles Of Gin

This might seem a bit like common sense – but there are so many bottles of gin out there that it’s really easy to find something they maybe haven’t tried before! One of my favourite small batch gins is Alexanders. It is made in Stonehaven so very local to me and it always goes down smoothly. Pin gin is also always a hit when we serve it up to friends, and I think it looks good sitting in our drinks cabinet too.

A firm favourite and another Scottish gin is Caorunn. The classic gin is one of the first gins I ever had and we have had a bottle on our shelf at all times ever since. The also have a raspberry gin, Highland strength gin and a Gin Master’s Cut – all of which are worth trying at one point of another. We like our Caorunn served with ice a slice of apple.

If you want a festive gin then look no further! This Festival Spiced Orange Gin combines zesty orange with the sweet spice of cinnamon. It tastes like Christmas in a glass and is a lovely gift for your favourite gin drinker. It is a vegan gin that everyone can enjoy.

Of course, you can’t have a gin without a decent ice and a slice! Super Cubes from The Ice Co are extra large ice cubes made with natural spring water. Their size means they melt more slowly than regular ice cubes, so you’re not diluting your drink.

If you’re not sure what kind of gin they like – or maybe they’re not sure themselves! Then an gin subscription is a great option for a gift. With a new bottle delivered every month it is the gift that keeps on giving. You could also consider a gin gift set, like this one from Hotel Chocolat. It comes with 2 gin miniatures and some chocolates to enjoy it with.

If you want Christmas themed gin gifts then you need to check out Gin Baubles. With 6 different coloured baubles all filled with Pickering’s Gin, you can hang them on the tree (but keep them out of reach of children). Alternatively, you can buy empty boozy baubles to fill with a gin of their own choosing.

Gin Posters

No gin corner would be complete without some posters or signage. Ink & Drop have the perfect gin poster to give a feature to your home bar area. There are different sizes to choose from, and the modern look is vibrant. If you prefer a more vintage style sign then this “It’s Always Gin O’Clock” wall plaque could be just want you need.

For someone who is really into gin and interested in how it is made, there is a Scratch Off UK Gin Distillery Map. It is 42cm x 30cm so not too big to dominate a wall, but big enough to make an impression. They can scratch off each distillery once they’ve visited, and is a visual reminder of where you still have to go. I think it is a great gift for someone you want to have experiences with, give them the map with the promise of travelling to start ticking them off together in the near future.

Gin Homeware

Most of us drink gin out of tumblers at home, but real gin glasses are worth the investment. The Portmeirion Auris Gin Glass Set has 2 beautiful crystal gin glasses in a gift box. They are also available in pink crystal. They make a wonderful gift for any occasion, and makes every glass of gin that bit more special.

Alternatively, Lolita has beautiful large gin glasses or ornate designs. The My Drinking Garden gin glass is painted with flowers and bumblebees, with a little gin cocktail recipe on the bottom. They look gorgeous both on the shelf or being used, and are perfect for drinks in the garden in the summer.

I’m a firm believer that you can never have too many mugs, and there are lots of gin mugs to choose from! I love the gold detailing on the “There’s A Chance This Is Gin” mug.

Whatever present you get for the a gin lover I’m sure they will be thrilled with. A little bit of thought goes a long way when it comes to choosing presents, and just knowing that you took their love of gin in to account will be enough!

I was sent some of these items in exchange for inclusion in this guide. All opinions are my own.
