I was vaguely aware of Morphle in the past, I knew it cropped up occasionally when the kids had a bit of tablet time but I wasn’t really up to date on the details. However, once we finally got Netflix (we were MEGA late to the party) I was thrown in full pelt. Both my boys like to watch Mila and her magic pet Morphle and were thrilled to be trying out some of the toys.
What is My Pet Morphle?
Morphle is a magical red pet who can morph into anything he wants. He has adventures with his friend Mila, with each episode exploring a different theme. Sometimes they find themselves fighting bad guys and stopping them in their tracks, other episodes they look closer at friendship or find ways to help people around town. Aimed at preschoolers, the show has lots of learning opportunities too for things like colours and shapes.
Morphle Toys
Like most children, my boys like to play with toys based on their favourite tv shows. There are a range of Morphle toys available to suit the style your children like best. There are some small ones that would make great stocking fillers, or bigger stuffed toys too.
Mini Morphle Figures
Mini figures are usually my kids favourite type of toy. They love small world play, using the figures to act out scenes from the show or make up their own adventures. We have a twin pack of mini figures, a classic Morphle and shark Morphle. While the toys are small, they’re not so small that they would pose a big choking risk which is always a relief when we have young children visiting a lot. The kids love playing with both of the characters, with shark Morphle even taking a dip in the bath – he is a shark after all!
Morphle Plush
The regular Morphle plus is a cute addition to any toy box. He is around 17cm tall and is available with 3 different facial expressions to choose from (an order from Amazon assigns you a random expression). JJ was taken by him right away, keen to carry him around and tuck him into bed at night.
There is also a larger talking plush, at 21cm. This talking Morphle plush comes with 2 different facial expressions, but again an online order assigns you a random toy. Squeezing the Morphle toy makes him talk. He says short phrases like “let’s go” and laughs or hums. I think I counted around 6 different sounds.
Morphle Mini Vehicles
My kids are car crazy so of course the Morphle mini vehicles were a big hit. We have 2 different styles, a racing car and a dinosaur. Each vehicle has a Mila figure riding in it which cannot be removed, and the red car is meant to be Morphle after he has transformed. The vehicles push along quite nicely on the ground, and on our laminate flooring will travel a short distance alone when pushed forward. They have been raced around and withstood quite the battering from my rough boys!
The ability to play with characters from one of their favourite tv shows is something that never gets boring for my kids, and so far these Morphle toys have been very popular.
